I have been writing in a journal on an almost-daily basis since I was 17 years old. This is a record of me going through each entry from the beginning, and commenting on the me from fifteen years ago.
If I don’t know how to handle or quite what to say, I must remember that I fight evil and that I always want to do the wonderful thing.
Okay, so how do you apply this mantra to a situation like this: You’re at a dinner party and accidentally make an inappropriate anal sex joke to the host’s wife within earshot of a handful of people, including the host. I don’t expect an answer. I’m just pointing out that hard rules are hard to apply to everything.
