I have been writing in a journal on an almost-daily basis since I was 17 years old. This is a record of me going through each entry from the beginning, and commenting on the me from fifteen years ago.

I’m not sad because I lost you. I’m sad for you because I’ve lost the image of what I thought you once were. It seems your life will be filled with thought and I know that you’ll become mired in it someday again as you have before. I am going to stay, though, and teach you some truth before I leave. Hopefully, you’ll remember it when all your logic has left you behind.

Oh yeah, and you’re such a free spirit that doesn’t think too much at all. Yeesh!
