I have been writing in a journal on an almost-daily basis since I was 17 years old. This is a record of me going through each entry from the beginning, and commenting on the me from fifteen years ago.

The question posed to me: True of False? The most important things a person learns, are those lessons from a woman. or women. Didn’t quite phrase it right, but I understand. I hesitate to answer, because I know which side I’m biased to. When I think, though, I find examples of those who have made me who I am on both sides. I’ve also said before that women are the better of the two species. Here is the deciding factor. If I asked myself the question – Are the most important lessons in life learned from men? My answer would be an immediate & definite “no”. When the question is reversed to the opposite gender, I can’t answer positively yes or no. I guess then it’s True, or perhaps a ½ truth. Figure if I hadn’t been hanging around all of the girls I have been, I never would have told Chris that I love him. It must be true.

I was raised without a prominent father figure, and I’ve always felt that because of this I’ve generally gotten along better with females than males, though I don’t put women up on a pedestal like I used to. I’m now a firm believer in equality. Neither women nor men are better, both have an equal propensity to be awesomely amazing and/or to suffer from terminal assholism.
