I have been writing in a journal on an almost-daily basis since I was 17 years old. This is a record of me going through each entry from the beginning, and commenting on the me from fifteen years ago.

The theory holds true then: yes it is impossible for us to be angry at one another. In fact, we hardly even bother to do so any longer. I was scared: it didn’t happen. That is that.

 

I’ve never been permanently angry at a friend, and vice versa, though it has worked against me sometimes. Some people, most noticeably a couple of my girlfriends enjoy the passion associated with a heated argument. I don’t. We usually end up in a fight about how I don’t fight enough. How weird is that?
