I have been writing in a journal on an almost-daily basis since I was 17 years old. This is a record of me going through each entry from the beginning, and commenting on the me from fifteen years ago.

It’s not a serious business, and it shouldn’t be. It started out as a little talent I performed to entertain my friends, and that’s how it should remain. As long as the fun’s still there for me in writing, I’m going to keep trying at it. Being published is just the bonus that goes along with it.

I got pretty diligent with my writing in college. In addition to whatever I had to do for class, I was writing recreationally every night. Also, pretty soon I’ll start having a regular column in the school newspaper. I don’t think It was the most writing output I’ve ever had in my life.
