I have been writing in a journal on an almost-daily basis since I was 17 years old. This is a record of me going through each entry from the beginning, and commenting on the me from fifteen years ago.

Yes, I know I would never be happy with a job. Only with activities that are what I want to do, would I ever consider working for.

I am happy and proud to say that it’s mission accomplished on this goal of mine. No matter what you do for a living, there’s going to be times when it’s a drag, but I did manage to basically do what I want for a living. That’s the hard thing growing up and not being like your parents. You can’t understand the world they’ve made for themselves, and vice versa. Only many years later can you know that the goal isn’t to be like them, it’s to be yourself.
